ACTIVITIES : Approximately 1,200 separate posts were made on Discord between 05/01/2023 and 05/31/2023. Department activities are listed below in the comments. Time spent working on Corps of Engineering Auxiliary projects this month: 10 Hrs, Meeting hours: 0.30 Hrs, CAPT. Stephen.
COMMENTS : What a great month for the Chapter! We had one Poker Night and two Crew Fellowship meetings in our Ten-Forward channel in Discord. These virtual meetups are a great way to get together real time, have discussions and fun! We are preparing for more activities in June, especially in celebration of Pride Month!
Department Highlights:
CO: Initiated a Member Reengagement Program in an effort to reach out to Members we haven’t heard from in a while as well as looking at our activities. Completed promotions. Submitted Awards. Attended Region 5 CO/XO meeting.

Second Officer: Proposed and implemented changes discussed, such as a ?quartermaster-brigade channel in discord to increase engagement of Trek related discussion in the Chapter.
Science: Leading efforts to move forward with our second year of joining Extra-Life, to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Continued posting and discussing Science Topics.
Operations: Discussion with Chief Science Officer regarding how to make episode discussions more visible and engaging. As part of new drive for reengagement discussed "redundancy and overlap" for more interdepartmental assistance to ensure things don't drop off as much as well as revisiting the "checkup" pairing initiative that was tested for 6 months. Planning a creative pursuit type contest.
Tactical: Continued to post Safety related topics, particularly related to Memorial Day.
Engineering: Updated home page. Added the motto and slogan of the Dragons to the SFMC page. Added new logos to the SFMC page. Fixed some spacing issues on various pages. Uploaded the most recent Supplemental to the site. Updated the Curie mailing list. Uploaded Supplemental to google drive. Uploaded the MSG logo to the graphics folder of the google drive. Uploaded minutes from last ship meeting to the google drive. Updated the @Emergency Hologram with fresh birthday info from the DB. Completed Discord Updates.
Communications: Ship's Log Supplemental for May 2023 was distributed 05/07/2023.
