Where in the Galaxy is the USS Curie?

As we launch from Earth's space dock, the Captain has decided we should offer a supplemental log to anyone who would like to learn about our galaxy as we explore it, in the form of  a monthly, short-form narrative of important and interesting locations in real space and the Star Trek universe!
